David,

Certainly a rear loader, and I just happen to have one at an extremely good price.

Am about to put it in the classifieds this week.

Interested?

Yep go the rear one. Most times I drop my boat straight into the water with the rear loader. Much easier to recover as well.

Get on !..

I had the boat loader on my 75 series Troop carrier. I have two sets of legs to suit
the Rhino cross bars, one to suit a Disco and one to suit the Troopy. (the Troopy has
as slightly higher roof line)

Pretty sure one would. Ask some-one like 'Roof Rack City' or even email the manufacturers for confirmation.

In any case a set of legs to suit your vehicle would not be too expensive and they are all interchangeable with the cross bars.

I have a rear-loader also and have had no problems at all, very easy to use BUT I changed vehicles a year or so back and now have a dual-cab and Rhino rear loaders are not recommended for dual cabs.

The reason for this is that the rear loader sits on 3 bars and since the cabin and tub on dual cabs move independantly, this may damage the loader as there are 2 bars mounted over the tub and one mounted to the cabin roof, sadly my rhino must go also

Another vote for the rear loader. I have a Rhino basket set up in between the rear two rails also, which carries all my light boating gear, very handy.
The boat when loading lifts over the basket easily and then slides forward.

With a side loader it would be impossible to have the basket fitted, or at least very awkward.

I think the side loader is also rated at carrying less weight.
